Repeated Course Policy of 转移 Credit
Repeating Courses 转移red to Tri-C
- If a student completes a course at Tri-C that was previously accepted as transfer credit and earns the same grade or higher for the Tri-C course, the transfer course grade and hours will be removed from the academic record, excluded from the GPA, and will not count toward any degree requirements, so that duplicate credit is not granted.
- If a student completes a course at Tri-C previously accepted transfer credit and earns a grade lower than the Tri-C course, the Tri-C grade and hours will remain on the academic record for computing the GPA. The grade for the transfer course will remain on the record; however, the hours will be removed so that duplicate credit is not granted.
Repeating Tri-C Courses at Another Institution
- If a student earns an “F” grade for a Tri-C course, repeats the course at another institution, and the course is accepted as transfer credit by Tri-C, the initial course remains on the academic record with the grade; and both the grade and hours for the transfer course are recorded.
- If a student repeats a Tri-C course at another institution, earns a higher grade for the transfer course, and the course is accepted as transfer credit by Tri-C, the initial course grade and hours will remain on the academic record for computing the GPA. The grade for the transfer course will be entered on the academic record; however, the hours will be removed so duplicate credit is not granted.
- If a student repeats a Tri-C course at another institution, and earns the same grade or lower, the transfer course will not be accepted or will be removed from the academic record if accepted
All students wishing to repeat a course should consult with the Office of Financial Aid to determine what, 如果有任何, financial aid implications there are for repeating a specific course.

转移 Credit Appeal Process
Cuyahoga Community College has a multi-level appeal process to address a student’s concerns when a student disagrees with the applicability of transfer credit by the College. Students seeking to appeal a transfer credit decision should meet with a counselor to complete the 转移 Credit Evaluation Appeal Form and understand the appeals process and procedures involved.
The acceptance of credit is carefully delineated in the Ohio Articulation and 转移 Policy (policy) and should be uniformly practiced by all institutions. The acceptance of credit is specified in the policy as subject to appeal to the campus level. Students have 90 business days* to file an appeal on an institution’s decision on course applicability at the campus level. The 90 business day period begins on the date the 转移 Credit Evaluation is e-mailed to the student's Tri-C address. If you believe your credit was not properly applied, click here to review the complete 转移 Credit Appeal Process.
